The Microchip TS1800 is a dedicated Platform Root of Trust controller designed to provide advanced security functions for embedded and connected systems. Acting as an external root of trust, the TS1800 enables secure boot, secure firmware updates, device attestation, and certificate management while incorporating hardware-accelerated post-quantum cryptography (PQC) capabilities.
Built around a high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M4F processor operating at speeds up to 192 MHz, the TS1800 delivers up to twice the processing performance of previous Microchip root of trust controllers. This increased computational capability allows designers to implement next-generation security architectures that address evolving cybersecurity threats and the growing demands of post-quantum cryptographic workloads.
