Future Electronics Features Melexis MLX91220 & MLX91221 High-Speed Isolated Current Sensors

Montreal, Canada – Future Electronics, a global leader in electronic components distribution, is pleased to announce the launch of a new digital campaign featuring the MLX91220 and MLX91221 high-speed isolated integrated Hall current sensors from Melexis.

The MLX91220 series represents the next generation of high-speed current sensing, delivering a compact, all-in-one solution that combines Hall-effect sensing elements, signal conditioning, and voltage isolation within a surface-mount package. Designed for ease of integration, these devices simplify system design while maintaining high performance across demanding applications.

With a bandwidth of up to 300 kHz, the MLX91220 and MLX91221 are optimized for fast and accurate current measurement in power conversion systems. These sensors are well suited for applications including on-board chargers (OBC), DC/DC converters, power supplies, and small electric drives, where reliable and responsive current monitoring is essential.

The devices support current measurements below 50 A and demonstrate strong robustness against transient conditions exceeding this range, making them ideal for environments where electrical noise and surges are common. Additionally, two package variants are available, offering flexibility in creepage and clearance distances as well as rated isolation voltages to meet various design requirements.

The MLX91220 and MLX91221 differ only in their operating supply voltage, allowing engineers to select the option that best fits their system architecture. The MLX91220 operates on a 5 V supply, while the MLX91221 is designed for 3.3 V systems.

By combining high-speed performance, integrated isolation, and compact design, these sensors provide an efficient and reliable solution for modern power electronics applications.
